Looking for a partner who doesn't just file away architecture diagrams

Great Azure architecture for us is not about hundred-page documents that gather dust after delivery. We are looking for someone who wants to see the real impact of their work: from the first whiteboard with a client through the technical design to successful production operation.

We love building things that make sense technically and commercially. That is why we are looking for an architect with deep technical foundations who can also clearly explain to client-side people, without unnecessary jargon, why the proposed solution makes sense.

What you will actually do

  • Design Azure architectures according to the Well-Architected Framework: landing zones, governance, networking, identity via Entra ID, security by design, not as an afterthought.
  • Lead architectural workshops with clients. Your audience: client-side cloud architects, IT directors, sometimes CIO and CTO.
  • Conduct independent reviews of third-party designs. Yes, including ones where you have to write that a million-dollar solution is wrong.
  • Assess and prepare existing applications for cloud: decide what to lift, what to refactor, and what to retire. Be able to tell the client the truth about their legacy portfolio.
  • Translate architecture into IaC (Terraform) and hand it to engineers in a way they can actually live with.
  • Technically lead projects from kick-off to handover into Managed Services.
  • Calculate and justify costs. FinOps at our company is not a department; it is part of every design you produce.

What you must know, and what we will teach you

We have been hiring cloud experts for 8 years and one thing we know for sure: an architect is not made by a certificate but by how many decisions they have had to defend. So:

Non-negotiables

  • You have designed and defended an Azure environment running in production. Not a PoC. Production, where an outage hurts.
  • You understand both IaaS and PaaS in depth, know when to reach for AKS and when that is overkill.
  • You can read and assess Terraform/ARM even if you do not write it daily.

What we will teach you

  • Our consulting process, way of working, design templates.
  • How we lead clients our way: directly, without waffle.

What we cannot teach

  • The courage to say "no" to a client ordering nonsense.
  • Curiosity, drive, and decency. Bring those yourself.

Who this job is not for

We will be straight about it. It saves time on both sides:

  • You want to do architecture from a desk and leave client contact to sales. That does not work here. Client communication is the core of this job.
  • You only feel senior with a large team beneath you. Here, seniority is measured in decisions, not headcount.
  • You prefer a large company and an employment contract? Then we are probably not your blood type. We are a small team where no one gets lost in the crowd. Your work is visible and clients know your name.

How much will you earn? As much as you ask for

We have no salary bands. Here is how it works: you name a figure that matches your experience and skills, and we pay it. We operate at market benchmark and above.

One caveat: the figure you name also sets our expectations. Someone who asks for lead-level pay gets lead-level responsibility (and lead-level interview questions). It is fair on both sides and it is the first test of how well you can assess your own value: exactly what you will do for clients.
